She has been a mainstay of the contemporary folk music scene ever since, releasing twelve albums and establishing herself as an enduring talent. Her songs are slow-release works of craft and catharsis that become treasured, lifetime companions for their listeners. Colvin triumphed at the 1998 GRAMMY Awards, winning both Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Sunny Came Home.” Her inspiring and candid memoir, Diamond in the Rough, was published in 2012. Shawn was recently recognized for her career accomplishments when she was honored with the 2016 Lifetime Achievement Trailblazer Award by the Americana Music Association. In September 2019, for the 30th anniversary of her debut album, Colvin will be releasing a newly-recorded, acoustic version of that landmark album.

Special Guest Opener: Daphne Willis

There is something real and raw that emanates from Daphne Willis when she performs. Her songs and her voice convey hope and compassion for others; her lyrics are sincere, compelling and relevant. Shawn Mullins featuring special guest Lauren Crosby (Singer-Songwriter)

$40/$32/$25 Advance/$40 Door
NO NEW DATE YET

After a series of indie record releases, Shawn Mullins’ critical breakthrough came when 1998’s Soul Core album shot him to fame on the strength of its Grammy-nominated No.1 hit, “Lullaby.” His song “Shimmer” was used in promotion of the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney and was included on the Dawson’s Creek Soundtrack. For its 20th anniversary, Mullins revisited the music on Soul Core, recording two new versions of the album, entitled Soul’s Core Revival, which features brand new arrangements of some of his most popular songs.

Lauren Crosby is a rising folkie/bluesy songstress from Georgetown, Maine. Her unique voice captures the rawness of the oceanic setting in which she grew up in, and her songwriting exemplifies the beauty and hardships of coastal living. At just twenty years old, Lauren's debut self-titled album received national praise for its unique blending of blues, folk, and jazz genres.

The Mallett Brothers Band is an independent rock and roll / Americana / country band from Maine. Their busy tour schedule since forming in 2009 has helped them to build a dedicated fanbase across the U.S. and beyond while still calling the state of Maine their home. With a style that ranges from alt-country to Americana, country, jam and roots rock, theirs is a musical melting pot that's influenced equally by the singer/songwriter tradition as by harder rock, classic country and psychedelic sounds.

Texas Hill Country Explore Magazine calls them “New England’s wildly eclectic crew of genre rebels.” Bill Copeland Music News says “Combining their authentic roots rock sound with a reflective lyrical style that perceives stories on the level of epic myth, it’s like William Faulkner has been resurrected with an electric guitar in hand.”

Ticket Prices: $18 advance sale only
Outdoor Event at Private Residence*

Maine singer/songwriter Jud Caswell has got a keen eye for detail, a head full of far-away, and a heart full of home. In 2006 he burst on the national scene, winning the legendary Kerrville New Folk competition. His songs have been taught at Berklee, recorded by Judy Collins, and named “#4 Song of the Decade” by New York’s WFUV. Jud left the road to raise a family where his own roots go deep. He draws inspiration from the land like Mary Oliver, pushing gently into the specific until it unfolds into the universal. He paints his landscapes like Wyeth, with a reverence for humble beauty. And with a voice fresh as water over granite and soft as a pine needle bed, he wields his instruments with the matter-of fact deftness of an old woodsman with an axe.

Cris Williamson (Singer, Songwriter, Activist)

Ticket Prices: $32 Advance/$37 Door

Decades before indie labels were the norm, and years before women had any real access to the industry, Cris Williamson was busy changing the face of popular music. In 1975, the twenty-something former schoolteacher recorded The Changer and the Changed, for her brainchild, Olivia Records, the first woman-owned woman-focused record company. Her music and voice quickly became an essential part of the soundtrack of a movement, and was the cornerstone of what would become known as “women’s music,” music created, performed, and marketed specifically for and by women. Today, that recording, The Changer and the Changed, remains one of the best-selling independent releases of all time.

For Cris, the music became the vehicle for something larger. Her lyrics appear on a regular basis in books and thesis papers. Her albums are part of the curriculum for women's studies courses, and thousands of people who may not even know her name join their voices in “Song of the Soul” around campfires and places of worship. She is embraced by women. She is sampled in hip-hop. Her music is used by midwives welcoming life into the world, while hospice choirs sing her songs in tender sacred escort. “She is often considered a treasure, passed hand-to-hand, person-to-person,” says the Boston Phoenix, “Williamson is a heroic character whose tireless activism continues.”
