Maine Moments is a collection of artwork by local Bath artist, Elaine Hranich. Elaine, the youngest of six children, grew up living in the small coastal community of Toms River, New Jersey and spent much time outdoors as a child. She lived in central New Jersey surrounded by beautiful farm land for 20 years before moving and settling in Maine over a decade ago.
Her art guidance has been primarily through private instruction and in recent years she has attended multiple workshops in Maine and Vermont. She is grateful to those who introduced her to plein air painting as this has provided her with the opportunity to paint the essence of nature. She enjoys Maine’s four distinct seasons, which provide continuous variations in the surrounding landscapes and scenery. Elaine enjoys experimenting with multiple mediums including pastels, watercolors, oils and acrylics.
Elaine hopes that her show will convey how she feels to be here, healthy and safe, in this moment, living life, in the very beautiful state of Maine.
Elaine would like to extend a very special ‘Thank You’ to our Honorable Elected State of Maine Officials who continue to work endlessly keeping us all safe and protected through this pandemic. Thank you to all the essential and front line workers who ensure we all have what we need in this critical time and finally, words cannot express our deepest level of gratitude for our Maine Health Care Workers. Maine Moments
From cheery summer sunsets to misty fall days,
Cold winter walks and warm spring sun rays.
Moments captured on canvas, paper and wood,
With hope that Maine will be much better understood.
Gallery Visit Details:
The CCAC gallery will be open to six visitors at a time. Masks or other appropriate face coverings must be worn while in the gallery. Staff will be regularly disinfecting door handles and other surfaces.
