Macbeth is one of Shakespeare’s shortest yet most powerful and beloved tragedies. The Scottish king and his murderous queen are two of the most memorable characters in all of Shakespeare’s works. The characters and events are intense and bloody, driven by greed, ambition and the influences of the supernatural. Macbeth remains relevant even after 400 years, as it delves into our most archetypical, primal conflicts: the dance between good and evil, fate and choice, madness and sanity. In these characters, we are shown the dark sides of our own psychology and desires and are left to question how far we would each go to obtain ultimate power.

We are thrilled to welcome Steve and Chuck Romanoff who are regarded as the premier performing group of original and traditional maritime songs. Their energetic concerts are laced with a Maine brand of universal humor. The band also writes and performs topical songs, country ballads and maritime masterpieces that have made their name synonymous with the "Down East" style. Combining their talents on six-string guitars, twelve-string guitars and banjos, Schooner Fare's distinctive vocal and instrumental arrangements have been hailed by such folk music icons as the Kingston Trio, the Limeliters, the Chad Mitchell Trio, the Clancy Brothers, Tommy Makem and Tom Paxton.

Anais Mitchell is a singer-songwriter and musician who has been heavily influenced by the confessional alternative folk stylings of Ani DiFranco. Anaïs Mitchell began writing songs when she was 17 and has been described as the "queen of modern folk music." Her album entitled Hadestown featured appearances from Greg Brown, DiFranco and Bon Iver's Justin Vernon. And it might come as a surprise when, over the course of eleven songs, she seems to be channeling spirits from the Old Testament to modern America — but mostly, well, from the Y chromosome.

Warm as summer sunshine, real as the truth, intimate as a long overdue visit between old friends...such is a Jonathan Edwards concert. Four decades into a stellar career of uncompromising musical integrity, the man simply delivers, night after night - songs of passion, songs of insight, songs of humor, all rendered in that pure and powerful tenor which, like fine wine, has only grown sweeter with age.
