Winterfest Lantern Parade with the Ideal Maine Social Aid & Sanctuary Band

The Chocolate Church Arts Center is so excited to be a part of Bath's Winterfest Lantern Parade this year on February 22nd!

Come to the Chocolate Church's FREE lantern-making workshop from 11 - 2. Experienced artists will be on hand with all the supplies you need to design and create your one-of-a-kind lantern for the Winterfest lantern parade which starts at 6 with everyone meeting in the Five County Credit Union parking lot.

Whether you want to start from scratch or get help taking your design to the next level, this artist-led maker space is for you. This is a great family activity---all ages and levels of experience are welcome! Drop in any time!

This year’s Winterfest Lantern Parade ends with a short celebration and festivities at the Chocolate Church. The CCAC is so excited to be the hosts of this year's finale and welcome everyone in from the cold, wintry walk. The Lantern Finale will be free to all, offering complimentary hot cider and popcorn, and live music from Ideal Maine Social and Sanctuary Band. Once inside we will invite people to process across the Chocolate Church Main Stage and show off their lanterns so that everyone can see all the glorious lantern creations in the parade. Come celebrate light, community, and imagination at the Lantern Finale at the Chocolate Church!

This event is FREE and donations are greatly appreciated.

The Ideal Maine Social Aid and Sanctuary Band is a Portland, ME-based community activist band in the New Orleans street band tradition, embracing a broad range of diverse music. Our performances bring joy and danceable grooves to public displays of celebration, advocacy, and solidarity. We support progressive movements and believe that through music and song, we can fight apathy and work together toward peace and social justice for all.
