The Mousetrap, a play written by Agatha Christie, holds the record for being the longest-running show in the world, regardless of genre. Its first performance took place in November 1952 at The Ambassadors Theatre in London, and it was later moved to St. Martin's Theatre in March 1974 where it has been running ever since.

As news spreads of a murder in London, a group of seven strangers find themselves snowed in at a remote countryside guesthouse.
