Chocolate Church Arts Center Is Sweet on Volunteers
Making beautiful things happen is the mission of The Chocolate Church Arts Center in Bath. That is also a mission that can be applied to our own individual lives as well. So, it's natural that a mutually exciting relationship evolves between the Art s Center programs and those who volunteer to make them happen.
This year, new Arts Center programs and direction are opening up a wide variety of volunteer opportunities. There are tasks for every kind of interest and skill, and in the sharing of those tasks, warm friendships are created. A kind of contagion of imagination and creativity happens, which benefits both volunteers and the Center. For some, ushering at performances is a way of being part of the musical excitement; for others it's volunteering at the gallery. Then there is clerical work, maintenance, theater set or props, costumes, hosting of special events, and much more.
The primary prerequisites for volunteers are availability, flexibility, and accessibility - being open for committing to a time to be involved now. It's apparent to volunteers that Board members and staff deeply appreciate that commitment. As one volunteer said, "I know that I am really valued here."
Former Executive Director, Claire Adams, says, "We are thrilled to be able to reach volunteers via email; email is an effective and efficient way to reach volunteers. Additionally, volunteers who are flexible and willing to roll up their sleeves and work with our team are naturally highly valued."
If you would like to join The Chocolate Church Arts Center "family" and make beautiful things happen, please call our office at 442-8455 or email us at info@chocolatechurcharts.org.
You will be warmly welcomed!
