OPENING RECEPTION FOR “DANCE OF TWO VISIONS” on FRIDAY AUGUST 27, 5 – 7 p.m.

The Gallery in the Annex at the Chocolate Church Arts Center is pleased to announce the opening of a new exhibition on Friday, August 27th.  “Dance of  Two Visions” features the work of Natasha Kempers-Cullen and Susan Mills.  Both are artists who have been working and living in Maine for 30+ years.  Their fiber art pieces involve stitching, felting, painting, building, collaging, and forming to create unique mixed media enviroments.  They each work in their home studios and their professional lives have connected over the years at Spindleworks in Brunswick, through Maine Fiberarts and the Maine Crafts Association, and in various workshop situations.  Teaching and sharing seems to be an integral part of the work of both artists.  They are also involved together in a new venture called Markings Gallery on Front Street.  Kempers-Cullen is one of five owner/artists and Mills is a consignment artist in the gallery and works on the staff.  Markings is an exciting venue for their works and another place to see their work together as well as the work of many additional Maine artists.

The exhibit will run until Saturday October 2.  The opening reception is Friday August 27 from 5 – 7 p.m.

Gallery Hours:  Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday from 10 – 4/Thursday from noon – 7/Saturdays from noon – 4
